SongARTelier was born from a heartfelt impulse
SongARTelier was conceived from a clear artistic vision by Katrin Auzinger (voice & cello):
to experience art song anew — without abandoning its roots.
The intimate format of voice and piano holds a precious place in our musical heritage.
Yet within it lie colours that too often remain unheard.
The warm breath of the cello, the gentle wooden touch of the marimba bars, the shimmering gold-silver of the vibraphone, and the grounding depth of the double bass — they open spaces where familiar melodies begin to glow in new ways.
Flowing lines appear now in the words, now in the sound — or ignite into sparkling cascades of rapid runs.
Accompanying figures become their own voices, atmospheres unfold into new layers of storytelling.
This unique instrumentation allows the music to unfold with greater colour and depth — art song remains art song, yet its perspective expands.

Katrin Auzinger — Mezzo-soprano & Cello
Katrin Auzinger is a concert and art-song singer with a rare dual talent:
Her voice and her cello tell stories together. She studied in Salzburg, Vienna and Cologne, won several international Lied prizes, and performs as a soloist on renowned concert and oratorio stages across Europe.
With SongARTelier, she pursues her passion for musical storytelling: words, melodies and colours entering into dialogue — curious, touching, and full of surprises.
Florian Klinger — Vibraphon & Marimba
Florian Klinger brings together classical percussion, jazz mallets and improvisation to create a rich and multifaceted sound world.
He studied in Vienna and in the United States, including with Stefon Harris, and is a percussionist with the Vienna Volksoper Orchestra.
As a member of Louie’s Cage Percussion, he explores projects that move between groove, chamber music and contemporary soundscapes.
Within the trio, he expands the emotional space of the songs with shimmering colours and rhythmic energy.
Bernhard Binder — Double Bass
Bernhard Binder is the Associate Principal Bass of the Tonkünstler Orchestra of Lower Austria and a faculty member at the Music and Arts University of Vienna.
Alongside his extensive orchestral career, he is passionately dedicated to chamber music and contemporary projects.
With his deep foundation and warm tone, he shapes the dramaturgical core of the trio — carrying the stories of the songs from the ground up.
